Imagine if Terry Francona went to the Yankees and won the World Series. Could Boston fans ever forgive him? Or if Tony Larusa brought a championship to Wrigley Field, could Cardinal fans live with the shame? Rick Pitino won the NCAA Title coaching Louisville to a 82-76 win over Michigan on Monday night. Kentucky fans may be in pain for decades. Pitino coached at Kentucky and won the National Championship in 1996. He left Kentucky and went to Louisville, the school’s most hated rival. It had to be a painful blow to Kentucky fans to see their beloved coach coaching the enemy. They’ve had to deal with it the past twelve seasons, but his win Monday night, may be a pill that’s too tough for them to swallow.
