Nebraska’s men’s basketball program hosted #AveryStrong Day on Saturday as the Huskers took on Michigan State at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The #AveryStrong theme is for Avery Harriman, the seven-year-old son of Nebraska basketball assistant coach Chris Harriman. Avery has battled leukemia since he was two years old and has been an inspiration to people around the Huskers’ basketball program.
The day was a huge success as fans were seen throughout the arena sporting their bright yellow #Averystrong t-shirts.
Following the Huskers’ impressive 79-77 victory over Michigan State, Avery addressed the media in the postgame press conference.
